Scappoose Indians Girls Volleyball 3-0 Seaside

Scappoose volleyball handed Seaside a straight-set loss Tuesday, winning 3-0 in a Northwest Oregon Conference (5A) home match in Scappoose, Oregon. The Indians controlled the match from start to finish, taking all three sets without allowing the Gulls a chance to extend the evening. The sweep was a statement performance for a Scappoose squad that has been grinding through a competitive stretch of its schedule. With the victory, the Indians move to 8-7 overall and 2-4 in league play. It was a needed boost after entering the match at 7-7, and the home crowd in Scappoose gave the team something to play for. Conference wins are hard to come by in the Northwest Oregon Conference this fall, and picking one up against Seaside keeps Scappoose relevant as the postseason picture begins to take shape. The Indians will look to build on this momentum and string together wins in the remaining weeks of the regular season.
