Scappoose Indians Girls Volleyball 0-3 Astoria

Astoria swept Scappoose 3-0 in a 4A-1 Cowapa League girls volleyball match played Monday night on the Fishermen's home floor. The loss drops the Indians from Scappoose, Oregon to 11-10 overall and 4-6 in league play, pushing them further back in the Cowapa standings with the postseason window narrowing.

Without a detailed box score available, the straight-sets result suggests Astoria controlled the tempo throughout the evening, limiting Scappoose's opportunities to build momentum in any single set. Road matches in the Cowapa can be tough environments, and Monday's result reflected that difficulty.

At 4-6 in conference play, the Indians will need a strong finish to their league schedule to improve their postseason positioning heading into the 4A playoffs. Every remaining match carries added weight, and the group will have an opportunity to respond when they return to action later this week. How Scappoose responds from this setback will say a lot about where this team is headed.
