Ida B. Wells Guardians Football 38-23 Lincoln

Ida B. Wells completed a perfect regular season Friday night, knocking off Lincoln 38-23 in a Portland, Oregon high school football matchup that closed out a remarkable run. The Wolves, who entered the game undefeated at 8-0, controlled enough of the contest to pull away for a 15-point victory and finish league play at 9-0 overall and 8-0 in conference. The win was no small task against a Lincoln squad that kept pace into the second half, making it a genuine fight before Ida B. Wells pulled clear. A 38-point output showed the offense remained sharp when it mattered most, while holding the Cardinals to 23 points demonstrated the defense's ability to perform under pressure in a meaningful late-season game. The Wolves now carry that unblemished record into the postseason, where they will be among the top seeds in the Oregon 6A playoffs. How deep this group can run in the bracket is the next question worth watching.
