Ida B. Wells Guardians Football 34-28 Grant

Ida B. Wells stayed perfect on the season Friday night, defeating Grant 34-28 in a hard-fought football game played at Grant High School in Portland, Oregon. The Guardians gutted out a six-point road win to push their record to 8-0 overall and 7-0 in conference play, keeping their unbeaten season fully intact with the postseason approaching.

Neither team made it easy. Grant kept the game competitive throughout and pulled within a score late, but Ida B. Wells found enough answers when the moment demanded them. Winning on the road against a rival in a tight game is a different kind of test, and the Guardians passed it.

The victory cements Ida B. Wells as one of the top teams in the Portland Metro area and positions them well heading into the final stretch of the regular season. With a perfect record and a conference title within reach, the Guardians will look to keep the momentum rolling next week.
