Sunset Apollos Girls Volleyball 3-0 Southridge

Sunset volleyball handed Southridge a 3-0 sweep Thursday evening in Beaverton, Oregon, keeping the Apollos firmly in the Metro League (6A) playoff chase. The straight-set victory moved Sunset to 14-9 overall and 4-3 in conference play, a meaningful boost as league standings tighten heading into the final stretch of the regular season. Playing in front of a home crowd, the Apollos controlled the match from start to finish, never allowing Southridge to force a fourth set. The clean sweep speaks to both strong serving and defensive discipline, two areas the team has worked to sharpen after a challenging early portion of the schedule. At 4-3 in league, Sunset sits in a competitive cluster where every remaining conference match carries real weight. The Apollos will need to maintain this level of focus if they want to secure a favorable playoff seed. Their next opportunity comes soon, and Thursday's performance gives the program plenty of confidence to carry forward.
