Sunset Apollos Girls Volleyball 3-1 Beaverton

Sunset picked up a hard-fought 3-1 victory Tuesday night in girls volleyball, traveling to Beaverton, Oregon, to face crosstown rival Beaverton in a Metro League (6A) contest. The win moved the Apollos to 13-9 overall and 3-3 in conference play, a meaningful result as the league standings begin to tighten heading into the final stretch of the regular season. Winning on the road against a familiar opponent always carries extra weight, and Sunset delivered when it mattered, taking three of four sets to close out the match. The Apollos entered the night at 12-9 and showed enough resolve to leave Beaverton's gym with two crucial conference points. Sitting at .500 in Metro League play, Sunset finds itself right in the mix for a postseason berth. The Apollos will look to build on this momentum as league matches remaining on the schedule carry increasing importance for seeding and playoff positioning.
