Sherwood Bowmen Boys Soccer 0-1 McDaniel

A second-half goal proved to be the difference Saturday as McDaniel edged Sherwood 1-0 in boys soccer, handing the Bowmen a tough road loss to close out October. Sherwood, based in Sherwood, Oregon and competing in the 6A-3 Pacific Conference, traveled to face the Eagles in a non-league contest that offered little margin for error. The Bowmen were unable to find an answer on the offensive end, finishing the match scoreless despite the opportunity to build momentum heading into the final stretch of the season. The shutout loss drops Sherwood to 5-9-2 overall and 2-2 in conference play. While the result stings, the Bowmen still have work to do in Pacific Conference action, and each remaining match carries real weight in the standings. Sherwood will look to regroup quickly and return to winning form when they next take the field, with conference positioning still very much within reach.
