Scappoose Indians Boys Soccer 0-3 Valley Catholic

Valley Catholic handed Scappoose a 3-0 defeat Tuesday night in 4A-1 Cowapa League boys soccer, dropping the Indians to 3-6-3 overall on the season. Scappoose, based in Scappoose, Oregon, made the road trip to face Valley Catholic and could not find an answer for a Valiants attack that produced three goals on the night. The Indians kept their conference record at 3-1 despite the setback, a mark that reflects their resilience in league play even as the overall record has been a mixed bag this fall. Without detailed scoring information, the 3-0 final tells the story plainly. Valley Catholic controlled enough of the match to put the game away convincingly on their home pitch. For Scappoose, the challenge now is to regroup and protect that solid conference standing as the regular season winds toward its finish. The Indians will look to bounce back in their next outing and keep their postseason hopes alive heading into the final stretch of the Cowapa League schedule.
