Sandy Pioneers Girls Soccer 3-1 Putnam

Sandy's girls soccer team picked up a convincing 3-1 road win over Putnam on Tuesday, keeping the Pioneers unbeaten in 5A-1 Northwest Oregon Conference play. The Sandy, Oregon program traveled to face Putnam in a league matchup that carried real weight in the standings, and the Pioneers delivered with a focused, purposeful performance from start to finish. Sandy controlled enough of the match to pull away comfortably, netting three goals against a Putnam side that managed just one in response. The win pushes Sandy to 13-2 overall and a spotless 5-0 in conference, a record that puts them squarely in the conversation for a league title with the regular season winding toward its close. Road wins in conference are never easy to come by, and Tuesday's result demonstrated the kind of consistency that has defined this group all fall. Sandy will look to carry that momentum forward as the postseason picture comes into focus in the days ahead.
