Milwaukie Mustangs Boys Soccer 0-1 Sandy

A single goal was all Sandy needed Tuesday, as the Milwaukie boys soccer team fell 1-0 at home in Northwest Oregon Conference (5A) play, dropping the Mustangs to 2-8-1 overall on the season. The match, played in Milwaukie, Oregon, was a tight defensive battle that came down to one decisive moment the hosts could not answer. Milwaukie's conference record now sits at 1-1 after the narrow defeat, meaning every league game remaining carries significant weight as the Mustangs try to build on their lone conference win. Despite the loss, holding a 5A opponent to a one-goal margin shows the defense remains competitive and capable of keeping Milwaukie in games. With the postseason window still in view, the Mustangs will need to convert their chances and find the back of the net more consistently down the stretch. Milwaukie returns to action later this week with an opportunity to bounce back and keep their league hopes alive.
