Milwaukie Mustangs Boys Soccer 1-4 Hood River Valley

Hood River Valley topped host Milwaukie 4-1 in a 5A-1 Northwest Oregon Conference boys soccer match played Tuesday evening in Milwaukie, Oregon, dropping the Mustangs to 2-10-1 overall and 1-3 in league play. Hood River Valley controlled much of the contest, building a multi-goal advantage that Milwaukie could not overcome, with the home side managing just one goal on the night. The result continues a difficult stretch for Milwaukie, which entered the game at 2-9-1 and has found consistent scoring chances hard to come by in conference competition. Despite the scoreline, the Mustangs showed up at home and competed in a league matchup that carries playoff positioning implications for both programs. With the regular season winding down, Milwaukie will look to finish strong and give younger players meaningful minutes as the program builds toward next year. The Mustangs return to action later this week, looking to pick up a much-needed result before the postseason picture is finalized.
