Sam Barlow Bruins Girls Soccer 0-1 Beaverton

Beaverton came into Gresham, Oregon, on Saturday and handed Sam Barlow a 1-0 girls soccer defeat, dropping the Bruins to 3-3-1 on the season. The 6A-4 Mt. Hood Conference program hosted the Beavers in a non-league matchup, and a single goal proved to be the difference in a tight contest. Sam Barlow could not find the net despite playing in front of a home crowd, as Beaverton's defense held firm for the shutout victory. The loss stings, but it comes in non-league play, leaving the Bruins' conference mark intact at 1-0. Sam Barlow enters the week knowing the areas where the offense needs to sharpen before league competition heats up. With conference standings still very much within reach, the Bruins will look to bounce back and protect what has been a solid start in Mt. Hood play. The next opportunity to respond comes soon, and the focus now shifts squarely to conference opponents.
