Sam Barlow Bruins Girls Soccer 0-0 Clackamas

Neither side could find the back of the net Tuesday as Sam Barlow's girls soccer team and Clackamas played to a 0-0 draw in Mt. Hood Conference (6A) action. The Bruins, based in Gresham, Oregon, made the road trip to Clackamas and left with a hard-earned point after a tight, defensive affair. The result moves Sam Barlow to 2-2-1 on the season as the Bruins continue to search for consistency in the back half of the fall schedule. A clean sheet on the road is never easy to come by, and holding a competitive Clackamas side scoreless speaks to the defensive discipline Sam Barlow showed throughout the match. The Bruins have now played five games and are still finding their footing as the season approaches its most critical stretch. Sam Barlow will look to carry that defensive resolve into upcoming league play, with points becoming increasingly valuable as postseason positioning starts to take shape.
