Roosevelt Roughriders Girls Volleyball 3-2 McDaniel

Roosevelt volleyball picked up a hard-fought road win Sunday, defeating McDaniel 3-2 in a non-league match played at McDaniel High School. The Roughriders, who represent Portland, Oregon, in the Portland Interscholastic League (6A), had to rally through a full five sets to secure the result, a testament to the team's resilience and competitive depth.
The victory improves Roosevelt's record to 12-1 on the season, extending one of the stronger starts in the Portland Metro area this fall. Winning on the road in a five-set match is never easy, and doing so against a McDaniel squad willing to push to the limit speaks well of the Roughriders' composure under pressure.
With the non-league schedule winding down and PIL play intensifying, Roosevelt will look to carry the momentum of this gritty performance into the weeks ahead. The Roughriders have positioned themselves as a team worth watching as the postseason picture begins to take shape.
