Benson Polytechnic Techmen Boys Soccer 1-2 Roosevelt

Roosevelt handed Benson Polytechnic a 2-1 defeat in PIL (6A) boys soccer Monday evening at Benson's home pitch in Portland, Oregon. The Techies battled hard but could not overcome a two-goal Roosevelt performance, falling to 2-8 overall and 0-3 in conference play as the second half of the league schedule begins to take shape. Benson found the back of the net once, showing some offensive life, but the defense could not hold off a persistent Roosevelt attack that secured all three points. The Techies have been competitive in stretches this season, and a home crowd gave them something to build on despite the result. Every league game remaining now represents a chance to pick up the program's first conference win of the fall. Benson will look to turn things around in their next matchup, with players and coaches focused on tightening up defensively while keeping their attacking intensity from Monday's effort.
