Benson Polytechnic Techmen Boys Soccer 0-8 Grant

Grant handed Benson Polytechnic an 8-0 defeat in Portland, Oregon boys soccer Wednesday evening, a PIL (6A) league contest that pushed the Techsters to 2-7 overall and 0-2 in conference play. Playing on the road at Grant, Benson had no answers for the Generals' attack, surrendering eight goals in what was a difficult night for the Techsters' defense and goalkeeper. Grant controlled the match from early on, building a commanding lead that left little room for Benson to find a foothold. The lopsided result reflects the competitive gauntlet of PIL 6A soccer, where upper-tier programs like Grant can expose young or developing rosters quickly. For Benson, the challenge now is regrouping and finding consistency before the remainder of the league schedule closes out. The Techsters will look to use upcoming practices to shore up their defensive shape and build some momentum. Their next opportunity to turn things around comes this week, when they return to action with a chance to pick up a much-needed conference result.
