A two-run cushion proved to be enough as Oregon City secured a pivotal 3-1 softball victory over Lakeridge at home Tuesday evening. The Pioneers controlled the league contest from start to finish, building their lead methodically against a Pacer squad that managed just one run despite several scoring opportunities.

The win moves Oregon City to 11-6 overall and 6-5 in conference play, keeping their postseason hopes very much alive with just weeks remaining in the regular season. Against a Lakeridge team that entered with similar league standings, every inning carried playoff implications.

Oregon City's pitching staff delivered when it mattered most, limiting the Pacers to single digits on the scoreboard while the offense provided just enough run support. The two-run margin of victory reflected the competitive nature of the matchup, with both teams battling through tight defensive play.

With the spring season winding down, the Pioneers will look to build momentum from this quality league win as they chase a favorable seeding position heading into the postseason tournament.
