Milwaukie Mustangs Girls Soccer 0-5 Sandy

Sandy handed Milwaukie a tough 5-0 defeat Tuesday in a Northwest Oregon Conference (5A) girls soccer match played on the road in Sandy, Oregon. The loss drops the Milwaukie squad to 5-4-1 overall and 1-1 in conference play as the postseason window begins to tighten. Sandy controlled the match from early on, finding the net five times and keeping Milwaukie off the scoreboard throughout the contest. Road environments can be difficult to manage mid-season, and Tuesday's result reflected that challenge for the Mustangs. The five-goal margin will give Milwaukie's coaching staff plenty to review heading into the next stretch of the schedule, particularly on the defensive end. With conference standings beginning to take shape, every remaining league match carries added weight for a Milwaukie side that still has time to make a statement. The Mustangs will look to regroup and respond the next time they take the field.
