Milwaukie Mustangs Girls Soccer 4-2 Parkrose

Milwaukie's girls soccer team picked up a much-needed league win Thursday, defeating Parkrose 4-2 at home in Milwaukie, Oregon, in 5A-1 Northwest Oregon Conference play. The Mustangs controlled the match well enough to pull away with a two-goal margin, finishing with four goals against a Parkrose side that kept things interesting with a pair of strikes of their own. With no detailed box score available, the final score tells a solid story: Milwaukie found the net four times and did enough defensively to close it out. The victory moves the Mustangs to 7-6-1 on the season and 3-3 in conference, a meaningful step forward after entering the night at 6-6-1. Sitting at .500 in league play, Milwaukie has put itself in a competitive position as the 5A-1 Northwest Oregon Conference season winds toward its conclusion. The Mustangs will look to build on this result and keep the momentum going in their remaining schedule.
