Roosevelt Roughriders Girls Soccer 0-8 Lincoln

Lincoln handed Roosevelt a tough 8-0 defeat in girls soccer on Thursday evening, leaving the Roughriders without a win on the season. The game was played at Roosevelt High School in Portland, Oregon, as part of the Portland Interscholastic League (6A) schedule. Lincoln controlled the match from the opening whistle, building an insurmountable lead and finishing with a commanding shutout victory. Roosevelt, playing at home in front of family and supporters, was unable to generate consistent offensive pressure against a Lincoln side that proved difficult to break down at both ends of the field. The Roughriders fall to 0-12-1 overall and 0-5 in league play following the result. Thursday's match was a challenging test against one of the stronger programs in the PIL, and the young Roosevelt squad continues to gain varsity experience as the regular season winds down. Roosevelt will look to close out the remaining games of the fall schedule with competitive performances and carry that momentum into the offseason.
