Liberty Falcons Boys Soccer 0-1 Woodburn

Woodburn handed Liberty a 1-0 defeat in Pacific Conference (6A) boys soccer Thursday evening in Hillsboro, Oregon, as the Falcons dropped to 4-7 overall and 1-2 in conference play. A single goal proved to be the difference, with Liberty unable to find the back of the net despite playing at home. The shutout loss stings for a Liberty squad that has been searching for consistency through a difficult stretch of the season. With the Pacific Conference race tightening as the postseason approaches, every league result carries added weight, and Thursday's result leaves the Falcons with little margin for error in the standings. Liberty will need to sharpen its attack and tighten its defensive shape quickly if it hopes to secure more conference points before the regular season closes. The Falcons return to action next week with another opportunity to build on their lone conference win and give the program something to build toward heading into the postseason stretch.
