West Linn Lions Football 7-21 Lake Oswego

Lake Oswego handed West Linn a 21-7 football loss Friday night, snapping the Lions' momentum in a Three Rivers League (6A) rivalry matchup played in West Linn, Oregon. The defeat drops West Linn to 4-2 overall and 1-1 in conference play, a tough outcome after the Lions had built a promising 4-1 start to the season.

The Lakers controlled the scoreboard throughout, limiting West Linn's offense while posting three touchdowns of their own. The Lions managed a single score, showing flashes of fight but unable to generate enough sustained pressure against a Lake Oswego defense that proved stingy when it mattered most.

The loss is a setback, but West Linn still has time to regroup in the back half of the league schedule. Conference title hopes remain within reach if the Lions can clean up the details and string together wins in the coming weeks. Their next opportunity comes next Friday, when they look to bounce back and reclaim ground in the Three Rivers race.
