Ida B. Wells Guardians Girls Volleyball 0-3 West Salem

West Salem swept Ida B. Wells 3-0 in Saturday's non-league girls volleyball matchup, handing the Portland squad a road loss. Ida B. Wells, a 6A-1 Portland Interscholastic League program based in Portland, Oregon, made the trip to West Salem and could not find an answer for the Titans across three sets. Without a detailed box score available, the straight-sets result suggests West Salem controlled the match from the opening rotation, limiting any sustained momentum for the Wildcats. The loss drops Ida B. Wells to 8-12 on the season, a tough stretch as the program navigates a challenging non-league schedule alongside its competitive PIL slate. Saturday's result, while disappointing, gives coaches valuable film to study heading into the final stretch of the fall campaign. Ida B. Wells will look to regroup and carry lessons from this road trip back into league play, where every match carries added weight in the 6A-1 standings.
