Ida B. Wells Guardians Girls Volleyball 0-3 Grant

Grant handed Ida B. Wells a 3-0 defeat in girls volleyball on Wednesday evening, sweeping the visiting Falcons in a non-league matchup played at Grant High School in Portland, Oregon. Both programs compete within the Portland Interscholastic League (6A), giving this crosstown contest an added layer of familiarity. Ida B. Wells had no answers across all three sets, unable to find the consistency needed to extend any frame against a Grant side that controlled the match from start to finish. The loss drops Ida B. Wells to 6-11 on the season, a stretch that reflects the growing pains of a young group working through a demanding schedule. With the non-league slate continuing to provide tough tests, the coaching staff will look to identify areas of improvement before the next opportunity arises. Ida B. Wells returns to action with a chance to regroup and build momentum heading into the final weeks of the fall campaign.
