St. Helens Lions Boys Soccer 0-9 Hood River Valley

Hood River Valley handed St. Helens a 9-0 defeat in 5A-1 Northwest Oregon Conference boys soccer Tuesday evening at St. Helens, Oregon. The Lions had no answers for a dominant Eagles side that controlled the match from start to finish, finding the net nine times against a St. Helens squad that has struggled to generate consistent defensive structure throughout the fall campaign. With no detailed scoring data available, Hood River Valley's offense was relentless, while St. Helens could not break through on the attacking end in a shutout loss. The result drops the Lions to 0-13 on the season and 0-6 in conference play. It has been a challenging year for St. Helens, but the program continues to gain valuable varsity experience for a roster that will look to build on these lessons heading into future seasons. St. Helens will have another opportunity to close out the year with purpose in its remaining schedule.
