Hillsboro Spartans Girls Soccer 4-0 Woodburn

A clean sheet and four goals gave Hillsboro's girls soccer team a strong start to Northwest Oregon Conference (5A) play Tuesday evening in Hillsboro, Oregon, as the Spartans shut out Woodburn 4-0. The victory moves Hillsboro to 3-4-4 on the season and 1-0 in conference, a timely boost after a stretch that left the team searching for consistency heading into league competition. Facing Woodburn at home, Hillsboro controlled the match from end to end, keeping the Bulldogs off the scoreboard entirely while building a four-goal cushion. A shutout win to open conference play sends a clear message to the rest of the Northwest Oregon Conference that Hillsboro intends to compete for a postseason spot. The Spartans will look to carry that momentum forward as league matchups become increasingly meaningful down the stretch of the fall season.
