St. Helens Lions Girls Soccer 0-8 Hood River Valley

Hood River Valley handed St. Helens an 8-0 defeat in girls soccer Tuesday evening, a 5A-1 Northwest Oregon Conference road match that moved the Lions of St. Helens, Oregon deeper into a difficult fall campaign. The Eagles controlled the match from the opening whistle, building a commanding lead that left little room for St. Helens to find its footing on the road.

The loss drops St. Helens to 0-14 overall and 0-6 in conference play this season. The margin was steep, but competing on the road against a strong Hood River Valley program presented real challenges, and the Lions continued to show up and compete through the final whistle.

St. Helens will look to regroup as the regular season winds toward its close. Each remaining match is an opportunity for the program to build experience and momentum heading into the offseason. The Lions will look to carry those lessons forward when they return to the pitch later this week.
