St. Helens Lions Girls Soccer 1-8 Centennial

St. Helens dropped a Northwest Oregon Conference (5A) girls soccer match at home Thursday, falling to visiting Centennial 1-8 to fall to 0-11 on the season. The Lions hosted the Eagles at St. Helens, Oregon, but could not find their footing against a Centennial side that controlled the pace and rhythm of the match throughout. St. Helens managed to put one goal on the board, a bright spot in an otherwise difficult afternoon, but the visiting Eagles pulled away decisively to claim the lopsided result. The Lions now sit at 0-3 in conference play, making each remaining league game critical for the program as it looks to build momentum heading into the final stretch of the fall schedule. Head coach and players will have an opportunity to regroup before their next matchup, with the focus turning toward competing hard and finding consistency on both ends of the field.
