Westside Christian Eagles Girls Soccer 0-2 Salem Acad.

Salem Academy handed Westside Christian a 2-0 defeat in girls soccer Wednesday, sending the Eagles home from Salem with a loss that drops their overall record to 3-4-2 on the season. Westside Christian, based in Tigard, Oregon, and a member of the Lewis & Clark League (3A), made the road trip for this non-league contest and could not find an answer to a Salem Academy side that controlled the scoring column from start to finish. The Eagles finished scoreless on the afternoon as the Crusaders posted a clean sheet and claimed all three points in convincing fashion. The result stings, but Westside Christian still has room to work with as league play continues. Sitting at 1-1 in Lewis and Clark League competition, the Eagles will need to sharpen their attack and tighten their defensive structure heading into the stretch run of the fall schedule. Their next opportunity to respond comes soon, and the focus now shifts entirely to building momentum in league play.
