De La Salle Knights Boys Soccer 1-9 Westside Christian

Westside Christian handed De La Salle North Catholic a tough 9-1 defeat in boys soccer on Tuesday, October 20, in a 3A-SD1 Special District 1 league road contest for the Portland, Oregon-based Knights. The Eagles controlled the match from early on, building a commanding advantage that De La Salle North Catholic could not overcome despite a goal that kept the Knights on the board. The loss drops De La Salle North Catholic to 2-7 overall and 1-4 in conference play, leaving the Knights with work to do in the final stretch of the fall season. Road environments can be challenging for any squad, and Tuesday's result reflects the difficulty of competing against one of the district's stronger sides. The Knights will need to regroup quickly and find some consistency on both ends of the field. De La Salle North Catholic returns to action with upcoming league games remaining, giving the squad opportunities to build momentum and finish the season on a stronger note.
