Benson Polytechnic Techmen Boys Soccer 0-7 McDaniel

McDaniel handed Benson Polytechnic a 7-0 defeat in a 6A-1 Portland Interscholastic League boys soccer match played Tuesday evening in Portland, Oregon. The Techmen were unable to find an answer against the Eagles on the road, surrendering seven goals while failing to put one on the board themselves. The shutout loss drops Benson to 2-12 overall and 0-7 in conference play as the regular season winds toward its close. Without a detailed box score available, the margin tells much of the story. McDaniel controlled the match from the opening whistle and never let Benson settle into a rhythm. Road games in league play against quality opponents have been a consistent challenge for the Techmen this fall, and Tuesday was no exception. With the postseason on the horizon, Benson will look to close out the remaining regular season matches with competitive effort and use the experience as a foundation heading into the offseason and next year's campaign.
