Hillsboro Spartans Boys Soccer 1-7 Wilsonville

Wilsonville pulled away decisively on Wednesday, handing Hillsboro a 1-7 loss in Northwest Oregon Conference (5A) boys soccer action at Hillsboro, Oregon. The Spartans were unable to slow a Wildcat attack that found the net seven times, while Hillsboro managed just a single goal on the afternoon. The defeat drops Hillsboro to 0-5-5 overall and 0-1 in conference play as the team continues to search for its first league win of the season. Without a detailed box score available, individual standouts are unclear, but the margin of defeat signals work to be done on both ends of the field heading into the heart of the conference schedule. The result opens league play on a difficult note, yet there is still plenty of conference soccer remaining for the Spartans to find their footing. Hillsboro will look to regroup and pick up its first league point in its next matchup.
