Wilsonville Wildcats Boys Soccer 5-0 Liberty

A dominant shutout performance put Wilsonville boys soccer back in the win column Monday, as the Wildcats defeated Liberty 5-0 in Northwest Oregon Conference (5A) play at home in Wilsonville, Oregon. The convincing victory opens league play on a strong note for a Wilsonville squad that entered the match sitting at 2-4-2 on the season. With the win, the Wildcats improve to 3-4-2 overall and 1-0 in conference play, a clean start to the league schedule that could prove meaningful as the postseason picture takes shape. Facing Liberty, Wilsonville controlled the match from the opening whistle, piling up five goals while keeping the visitors off the scoreboard entirely. A shutout at home against a conference opponent sends a clear message to the rest of the Northwest Oregon Conference. The Wildcats will look to build on this momentum and string together wins during a league stretch that will define their season. Their next opportunity comes later this week.
