Westside Christian Eagles Girls Soccer 3-1 Riverdale / Riverside, WLWV

Westside Christian picked up a crucial girls soccer victory Tuesday, defeating Riverdale/Riverside, WLWV 3-1 in a 3A/2A/1A-SD1 Special District 1 league contest played at home in Tigard, Oregon. The win moves the Eagles to 5-4-2 overall and 3-1 in conference, a meaningful turnaround for a squad that entered the match at .500 on the season.

The Eagles controlled enough of the game to build a three-goal cushion, holding off a late Riverdale/Riverside response to secure the two-goal final margin. Westside Christian's defense did the job when it mattered, limiting the visitors to a single goal after allowing the Eagles to establish a lead they would not surrender.

With a 3-1 conference mark, Westside Christian is now firmly in the mix for a strong district finish as the postseason approaches. The Eagles will look to carry this momentum into their remaining league games and build the kind of form that could make them a factor when playoff seeding is determined.
