Westside Christian Eagles Boys Soccer 1-0 Oregon Episcopal

A single goal was all Westside Christian needed Thursday night, as the Eagles held off Oregon Episcopal 1-0 in a Lewis & Clark League (3A) boys soccer match played in Tigard, Oregon. The shutout victory moved Westside Christian to 8-2-2 on the season and 3-1 in league play, keeping the Eagles firmly in the hunt for a postseason berth. Defensive discipline defined the evening, as the Eagles denied the Aardvarks any room to find the back of the net across the full ninety minutes. In close league games like this one, clean sheets can be just as valuable as a highlight-reel goal, and Westside Christian demonstrated the kind of composure that wins tight matches. The lone goal proved enough to separate two competitive programs, and the result gives the Eagles real momentum heading into the final stretch of the regular season. Westside Christian will look to build on this result and strengthen its league standing in the coming weeks.
