Lake Oswego Lakers Softball 1-7 West Linn

West Linn capitalized on late-inning opportunities to hand Lake Oswego a decisive 7-1 softball defeat Friday at home. The Lakers struggled to generate offensive momentum against a Lions pitching staff that kept runners off the basepaths throughout most of the contest.

Lake Oswego managed just one run despite entering the game with a strong 13-4 record. West Linn broke the game open in the later innings, turning what had been a competitive league matchup into a comfortable victory for the visiting Lions.
