Forest Grove Vikings Football 36-39 Aloha

It was a heartbreaker in Aloha on Friday night, as the Vikings dropped a 39-36 decision that stung a little extra given how hard they battled to stay in it. Forest Grove kept the game competitive from start to finish, but when the final whistle blew, it was Aloha walking away with the three-point victory.

The Vikings showed plenty of fight, and 36 points is no small offensive output. There were clearly stretches where Forest Grove looked like the better team on the field. But a few key moments went Aloha's way down the stretch, and in a game this close, that's all it takes.

With the loss, the Vikings fall to 3-2 on the season. The good news is there's still plenty of football ahead, and a team capable of putting up 36 points is far from out of the picture. Forest Grove will need to clean up the details this week in practice and come back hungry for the next one.
