Tualatin Timberwolves Football 14-42 West Linn

The Tualatin Timberwolves ran into a buzzsaw Friday night, falling to West Linn by a final score of 42-14. The Lions came out firing on all cylinders and never really let the Timberwolves find their footing, pulling away for a commanding victory that wasn't as close as even the final score might suggest.

Tualatin's offense showed flashes, but West Linn's defense was suffocating for most of the night, and the Lions' offense did what they wanted when they wanted. The Timberwolves managed two scores, but 14 points was never going to be enough against a West Linn squad that looked like one of the better teams in the state on this particular evening.

The loss drops Tualatin to 4-1 on the season. That's still a strong start to the year, and the Timberwolves have shown plenty this season to feel good about. A game like this can sting, but it can also serve as a measuring stick and a motivator. How the Wolves respond in the coming weeks will say a lot about this group.
