St. Helens Lions Boys Soccer 1-8 Century

Century handed St. Helens a tough 8-1 defeat in boys soccer Tuesday evening, with St. Helens making the road trip to Hillsboro to face the Jaguar program in non-league play. The Lions, representing St. Helens, Oregon, and competing in the Northwest Oregon Conference (5A), were unable to generate consistent offensive pressure against a Century side that controlled much of the contest. St. Helens managed one goal on the night, a bright spot in an otherwise difficult evening, but Century's attack proved too much to contain across the full 80 minutes. The loss drops St. Helens to 0-4 on the season as the young squad continues to search for its footing in the early weeks of the fall campaign. Northwest Oregon Conference play will provide the Lions with opportunities to measure themselves against league competition and begin building the consistency they need. The team returns home next to look for its first win of 2026.
