Southridge Skyhawks Football 8-9 Beaverton

Beaverton held on for a 9-8 football victory over Southridge on Friday night at Beaverton High School in Beaverton, Oregon, handing the Skyhawks a gut-wrenching one-point defeat in league play. The final margin could hardly have been slimmer, as Southridge fought down to the wire in what shaped up to be a competitive conference matchup between two neighboring programs. Despite the narrow loss, the Skyhawks showed resilience in keeping the game this close, with a final score that came down to a single point separating the two sides. Southridge falls to 0-8 on the season and 0-4 in conference play with the result. The one-point margin is a reminder that small adjustments can make the difference between a win and a loss at this level. Southridge will look to carry the competitive effort from Friday into next week, using the experience as motivation to break into the win column before the regular season closes out.
