Southridge Skyhawks Baseball 4-7 Westview

The Skyhawks couldn't quite keep pace with Westview on Monday evening, dropping a 7-4 baseball decision on the road. Despite putting four runs on the board, Southridge was unable to match the Wildcats' offensive output in the league matchup.

The loss moves Southridge to 4-11 overall and 2-10 in conference play as the spring season winds down. While the Skyhawks showed they could generate runs against Westview pitching, defensive miscues and untimely hitting proved costly in the defeat.

Southridge battled throughout the contest but couldn't string together the big inning needed to overtake their hosts. The team has shown glimpses of their potential this season, and Monday's four-run performance demonstrated their ability to produce offensively.

With the regular season nearing its conclusion, the Skyhawks will look to build on the positive aspects of their road trip to Westview. Every remaining game provides an opportunity for the young roster to gain valuable experience and finish the campaign on a strong note.
