Sherwood Bowmen Girls Volleyball 2-0 Beaverton

Sherwood's girls volleyball team kept its perfect start intact Saturday, defeating visiting Beaverton 2-0 in a non-league matchup at home in Sherwood, Oregon. The Bowmen, who compete in the Pacific Conference (6A), improved to 3-0 on the young season with the straight-set victory. Beaverton, always a capable opponent from the Metro League, tested Sherwood early, but the Bowmen responded with consistent serving and disciplined play at the net to control both sets. The home crowd had plenty to cheer about as Sherwood built on its 2-0 start and showed it can handle a quality non-league challenge without dropping a set. For a program building momentum heading into conference play, sweeping a Metro League school carries real confidence value. Sherwood will look to keep the unbeaten streak going as league competition approaches. The next match gives the Bowmen another chance to sharpen their game before Pacific Conference play begins to define the season.
