Estacada Rangers Boys Soccer 1-5 Sandy

Sandy pulled away for a 5-1 victory over Estacada in boys soccer Tuesday evening, handing the Rangers a tough non-league loss on the road. Estacada, a Tri-Valley Conference (4A) program out of Estacada, Oregon, found itself outmatched by the Pioneers, who controlled much of the match and converted their chances efficiently throughout the night. The Rangers did find the back of the net once, showing some fight despite the lopsided final, but Sandy's attack proved too much to contain over 80 minutes. The loss drops Estacada to 1-3 on the season, a difficult stretch that has tested the squad early in the fall campaign. Road games against non-league opponents can serve as useful measuring sticks, and the Rangers will need to take lessons from this one as Tri-Valley Conference play continues to ramp up. Estacada returns to action next week with a chance to regroup and build momentum heading deeper into the season.
