Woodburn handed Sam Barlow a 5-2 defeat in boys soccer Tuesday evening, sending the Bruins into the 2026 fall season with an 0-1 record. The non-league home match, played in Gresham, Oregon, marked the first competitive test for Sam Barlow, a Mt. Hood Conference (6A) program looking to establish its footing early in the year. Woodburn proved too much on the night, putting five goals past Sam Barlow's defense while holding the Bruins to a pair of scores in return.
