Roosevelt Roughriders Girls Soccer 1-2 Cleveland

Cleveland earned a 2-1 victory over Roosevelt in a Portland Interscholastic League (6A) girls soccer match played Wednesday in Portland, Oregon. The Roughriders dropped to 0-9-1 overall and 0-2 in league play with the road loss at Cleveland. Roosevelt found the back of the net once, showing a competitive effort against the Warriors, but Cleveland's two goals proved to be the difference in a tight contest. Without a detailed box score, the one-goal margin tells a story of a game that stayed within reach for the Roughriders. Earning points in the league standings remains a priority for Roosevelt, which has faced a challenging schedule throughout the fall season. The team will look to build on Wednesday's positive moments, including its lone goal, and carry that momentum into upcoming matches. Roosevelt's next opportunity to collect its first win of the season comes later this week, giving the Roughriders a short turnaround to regroup and refocus.
