McDaniel Mountain Lions Girls Volleyball 2-3 Roosevelt

Roosevelt handed McDaniel a 3-2 defeat in girls volleyball Sunday evening, leaving the Eagles at 8-9 on the season. The match was played at McDaniel High School in Portland, Oregon, where the PIL (6A) program hosted the non-league contest. McDaniel pushed the match to five sets, showing plenty of fight before Roosevelt pulled away late to claim the victory. Falling behind in the standings is never easy, but a five-set battle like this one speaks to the competitive spirit this group has shown throughout a challenging year. The Eagles entered the match at .500 and now sit just below that mark, meaning every remaining match carries added weight as the program looks to finish the fall on a strong note. McDaniel will need to regroup quickly and sharpen its serve-receive and closing efficiency if it wants to string together wins down the stretch. The schedule will not slow down, and how the Eagles respond this week will say a great deal about where this program is headed.
