Riverdale Mavericks Girls Soccer 3-1 Trout Lake

A 3-1 girls soccer victory over Trout Lake gave Riverdale a winning start to Coastal Range League (3A) play Monday at home in Portland, Oregon. The win moved the Hawks to 5-4 on the season and 1-0 in league, a timely result for a team looking to build momentum in the second half of the fall schedule.

Riverdale controlled enough of the match to pull away with a two-goal cushion, converting three times while holding Trout Lake to a single answer. The defense tightened when it needed to, and the attack found ways to finish, a combination the Hawks will need to sustain as league competition deepens.

After entering the day at 4-4, this result gives Riverdale both a winning record and a clean slate in the Coastal Range League standings. The Hawks will look to carry that confidence into their next league test and keep building toward a strong postseason position.
