Portland Christian Royals Boys Soccer 8-0 Riverside, WLWV

Portland Christian rolled to an 8-0 boys soccer victory at Riverside, WLWV on Monday, October 19, improving its standing in the 2A/1A-SD1 Special District 1. The Royals, based in Portland, Oregon, in the heart of the Willamette Valley, dominated from start to finish in this lopsided league road contest. With no detailed box score available, the final margin tells the story clearly enough. Eight goals against a shutout is the kind of result that shifts momentum heading into the final stretch of the fall schedule. The win moves Portland Christian to 8-5 overall and 6-1 in conference play, a strong turnaround that puts the Royals in firm contention for a postseason berth. After entering the match at 7-5, Monday's performance was a statement game at the right time. Portland Christian will look to carry that momentum into its remaining league fixtures as the district playoff picture comes into sharper focus over the next few weeks.
