Newberg Tigers Softball 3-4 Century

A late-inning push wasn't quite enough for Newberg softball Tuesday night, as the Tigers dropped a narrow 4-3 decision to Century on the road. The one-run loss highlighted both the competitiveness and missed opportunities that have defined much of the Tigers' spring campaign.

Newberg showed fight throughout the contest, keeping pace with their hosts in what became a back-and-forth affair. The Tigers managed to plate three runs against Century's pitching staff, but couldn't quite find the clutch hit needed to push ahead when it mattered most.

The defeat drops Newberg to 4-10 overall and 1-8 in conference play, continuing a challenging league slate that has tested the young squad's resilience. Despite the tough record, games like Tuesday's show the Tigers are capable of competing with anyone on their schedule.
