Milwaukie Mustangs Football 77-0 Parkrose

The Milwaukie Mustangs needed a statement, and Friday night they made a loud one. Milwaukie rolled over Parkrose in a dominant shutout performance, winning 77-0 in a game that was never in doubt from the opening drive. It was exactly the kind of lopsided, energized effort a team in need of a spark was looking for.

The Mustangs controlled every phase of the game, piling on points while holding Parkrose completely off the board. Whether it was the offense finding the end zone at will or the defense refusing to give an inch, this looked like a completely different Milwaukie squad than the one that stumbled through its first four games. Credit goes around, because 77 points and a shutout is a total team effort.

With the win, the Mustangs move to 2-3 on the season, a modest but meaningful step in the right direction. It won't be easy to sustain this level of play against stiffer competition down the stretch, but momentum is real, and right now the Mustangs have plenty of it. Milwaukie faithful, this one was worth showing up for.
